IB World School
Patterson Elementary engulfs students through inquiry based learning in an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) that is designed for students aged 3 to 12. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The program is guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subjects areas, as well as transdisciplinary skills, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning in the classroom and across the school. The PYP aims to develop internationally minded students who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
Dual Language
Patterson Elementary has a 50/50 model dual language program offered to Pre-K through 5th grade students. This means that our dual language students receive instruction in English for 50% of their academic day and in Spanish for the remaining 50% of their academic day.
Literature Magnet
Patterson Elementary is a Literature Magnet school. Students explore literature in different ways and across subjects.
